Health+Care=Grief

HEALTH INSURANCE IS WORTHLESS WHEN THE WELL-BEING OF THE BENEFICIARY IS NOT A FACTOR IN THE HEALTH CARE DELIVERED. UNFORTUNATELY, MANY PEOPLE, INCLUDING POLITICIANS, MEMBERS OF THE MEDIA, AND SELF-DESCRIBED ADVOCACY ORGANIZATIONS, DO NOT GIVE A DAMN. THE FOLLOWING IS A DETAILED ACCOUNT OF HOW ADVOCATE HEALTH CARE BROKE THE LAW IN ORDER TO CHEAT SEVERAL BENEFICIARIES OUT OF MUCH NEEDED HEALTH CARE.

About Me

Health+Care+Grief
I started overseeing my stepfather's and my mother's (the Beneficiaries) health care needs in 1997. I became their full-time caregiver in 2000. My mother died in 2005. This blog is about the wrongdoing that I have encountered regarding the delivery of their health care. What started as a battle between myself and my folks health care provider, turned into a realization that not many people are concerned that senior citizens are prone to being shortchanged on their health care needs. Included on the guilty list are members of the media, a slew of self-described advocacy groups, and politicians. Thanks to their current Primary Care Physician and my vigilance, my stepfather is now doing relatively well. However, I am still seeking accountability from a variety of people and the organizations that caused my folks so much harm. Anybody who relies on a Medicare or a Medicare managed care policy to provide for their health care should be concerned too. Update: My stepfather passed away in January 2010. I hope to continue to fight for the rights of seniors to receive the health care that they need.
